E.O. BUDGET CUT DEAL APPEARS CLOSE AT HAND
Key lawmakers and the Granholm administration were working out the final details Friday on an executive order that will cut more than $300 million from the 2008-09 budget. Sources also indicated the EO could mean the state would seek as many as six furlough days from state workers.
